Synopsis: Stella is a beautiful Swiss refugee who, like an angel of death, appeared in the life of a sucession of tug-boat skippers before they were killed. Before each one left for what turned out to be their last voyage, they gave Stella a spare key. David Ross meets Stella one day and eventually they fall in love, believing that their love is immune from the curse.
